Born in Roanoke Rapids, the roots of music were planted early in his life. Inspired by his grandfather, a bluegrass musician whose passion for music and storytelling left a permanent mark on the family, he grew up surrounded by sound, rhythm, and emotion. While bluegrass built the foundation, his parents introduced him to the aggression and honesty of metal music, sparking a connection that would shape the rest of his life.
Before fully pursuing music, he served in the United States Army, an experience that helped shape his discipline, resilience, and mental toughness. Like many veterans, the weight of personal struggles followed him beyond military service. Battling depression and anxiety, he found himself turning even deeper toward music as both an escape and a form of survival. The chaos, aggression, and emotion within heavy music became a place where he could release pain, anger, and frustration while transforming it into something powerful.
Now living in Sumter, he is the vocalist for the deathcore band Ice Pick Willie, bringing relentless energy and raw emotion to every performance. Behind the intensity of the music stands a man driven by family, loyalty, and purpose. His wife, Montine, and his son, Atlas, are the foundation that keeps him moving forward through every obstacle life throws his way.
Balancing fatherhood, marriage, military experience, mental health struggles, and the pursuit of music has only strengthened his determination. His dream is to take Ice Pick Willie to the biggest stages possible, performing night after night and dedicating his life completely to music. For him, music is more than entertainment — it is therapy, purpose, and proof that even through darkness, pain can be transformed into something unforgettable.
